Early in the day on a late June morning, We travelled to Windsor - TopicsExpress

Early in the day on a late June morning, We travelled to Windsor to help a friend of a friend (FOAF). Later in the day on an early evening train We reviewed the days events and smiled. We had walked out of a meeting with Trading Standards (TS) officers having secured the FOAFs position and a promise from TS that they would not trouble him again. RESULT. We went to Lunch. Yum. Over Lunch, the FOAF told Us of another friends (a friend of a friend of a friend (FOAFOAF)) problems and We went on a second visit where We heard tales of skull-duggery and mischief. There were landlords and tenants, leases and titles, loopholes and tittle-tattle. Oooh, a whole bucket of fun. There was also an allegation of speeding and the Metropolitan Police required the name of the driver. However, the FOAFOAF did not know who had driven the company car all those weeks ago. FOAFOAF asked the Met Police for a photo of the car in the alleged speeding incident. Met Po provided THREE images. Of the rear of the car... Mike. if you can get rid of this problem, you will never need another client. Through the careless Summer months and the balmy evenings, We walked from June into July, said Hello and Goodbye then dipped into August. Septembers somnolence and Octobers awakenings found that We had completed Our administrative adjuncts and there was silence from the service known as Metropolitan. It had been quiet. Too quiet. We needed to know. We needed to hear. Something. Yesterday, We phoned the FOAFOAF. No answer. We sent an email. Nothing. Today the phone rang. Yesterday the FOAFOAF had received a letter from Metropolitan. On a cold November morning when the wild wind blows the leaves and lesser litter through the streets of Lower Lambeth a court will sit an hear an allegation. In the silence of the court where they say the things they ought, and sometimes theres another altercation, There will be another hearing in the matter. A judgement will be passed and the notice sent at last to the man whose name appears upon the letter. And We shall smile. In November, We and the FOAFOAF will walk into a nearby court of the magistrates and tell a story. A true story. The court of the magistrates will have no option but to have the November judgement set aside. And We shall smile. The whole prosecution process (and story) may be repeated. And We shall smile. And the whole prosecution process (and story) may be repeated. And We shall smile because We can ride this merry go round as many times as they like at no cost to Us. And the FOAFOAF will smile because there will be no: 1. Points on the licence or 2. Fines to pay or 3. increases in insurance premiums. Ever. Who wants to play?
