Early this morning, I got the call Ive been dreading for years. My gram wasnt doing well. I woke Landon early and explained that although santa brought him gifts, I needed to run and see MO (thats what hes called her since he could talk) and tell her I loved her. Like a champ, he was ok to open his presents later. If youve met my gram, then youll know what Im talking about. This woman was one of the greatest people ever. For the past 2 years, Ive tried to spend every weekend there. She loved playing cards. And I loved being her partner at Hoss. Ive never seen that woman mad, because thats who she was. She was funny, sweet, loving, and strong. unbelievably strong. Its with great sadness that she is no longer here. But she knew that today she was surrounded by family and friends today on christmas. As I sit here and cry, Ill remember every moment Ive had the pleasure spending with you, Gram. In Heaven, I hope you find a great Hoss partner. Just watch those triple hosses. We all know you enjoyed tripling and putting an end to the game. Have those cards shuffled for me! Until we meet again! I love you, Gram. And Ill miss you everyday.
