Early this morning my dog Goliath heard the smoke alarm go off. Now, it wasnt the actual alarm… it was the little beep that sounds every two minutes to let you know the battery is dead. Goliath couldnt get through two closed-off rooms to get to me (while I slept), so he went out the doggie door, through the backyard, and around the side of the house to claw at the outside door leading to my room at 4:30AM. I woke up to him pawing frantically at my door. As soon as I opened it, he jumped on my bed and refused to leave until I finally went out into the house and heard the beeping. Once I fixed the alarm and it went quiet, he was fine. It may have just been a false alarm, but whoever said that Diamonds are a girls best friend must have been kidding themselves…
