Early this morning, shots fired in the parklette on our street caused quite a ruckus. Approximately, 10 police cars locked down our street after the Corps of Engineers reported the shots. Oddly, just prior to the police showing up, our neighbor called to give me a heads up that there was a stray German Shepard running up our street. I managed to get the dog into our garage and call Animal Control and then all hell broke loose! Turned out that a fisherman claimed that he fired shots after his dog (the one in my garage) ran off while cashing a rabbit. Fisherman claimed that his dog would return to him when he fired his gun. What could be wrong with that logic? And then at the same time, a woman was stuck on the hillside nearby and called the police for help! Police cited the gun nut fisherman, reunited the dog in our garage with the very same fisherman gun nut, and saved the woman from the hillside. All of this before 9am!
