Early tonight Sutton fell off a giant stack of pillows piled on the couch and hit her head on the table before crashing on the floor. Immediately she couldnt catch her breath due to the unbelievable screaming that was coming. My heart was racing as I scooped her up, looking her over, holding her close - just trying to help her and make sure she was ok. And as she was calming down, laying on my chest I became overwhelmed with emotion at what is going on across the world. The panic I felt pales in comparison to what so many mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters are feeling as they are watching their children, siblings and parents being tortured, even killed. Even now tears are steaming at the thought and the true panic they are feeling. I am reminded by my husband and our youth group lesson today that this is a broken world and God did not and does not desire evil in this world. I find myself not even knowing what to pray and asking and trusting the Holy Spirit to make sense of my loss of words. Lord come quickly...restore peace...
