Earthquake alert!!! For the first time in 9 days a MAJOR(6.0 and above) earthquake has occurred. A 6.4 magnitude quake at a shallow depth of 10 kilometres has struck this morning at 8.04 A.M. in the Northern Mid-Atlantic Ridge off the East Coast of French Guiana. No reports of damage or injuries at this stage. I think with this quake striking a new and more active phase of MAJOR seismic activity has now begun. STAY TUNED!!!
