East Coast trains is the only publically owned rail franchise. Out of the 19 rail franchises, the 18 privately owned rail companies are operating at massive losses, only one, East Coast trains made a profit. Today, the government are starting the process of re-privatising of this company. Good luck today to the protesters against this policy at Kings Cross, York, Newcastle and Waverley. ...
