Easter was great: cook-out with all the neighbors, and what an eclectic group it was! People from all over the country, Canada and China made for lots of jokes, ideas and good food! Afterward, took Diane in the car (topless) to visit Sal and Mark. Tried to go to bed as early as possible, even took a Xanax to be able to sleep deeply (something I rarely, rarely do) because at 7:30am Im going to U. of Miami surgeon Mark wants to do surgery on his face. PLEASE, GOD, HELP ME TO KEEP MY MOUTH SHUT. Im very much against the radical surgery Mark WANTS to be rid of his cancer. It would be a life-altering surgery, one Mark likely wouldnt survive, leaving him blind, sans central face, without the ability to talk, with a breathing hole and a food port. Mark knows Im against it, that I prefer pin-point radiation procedures. PPR oncologists might not find Mark a good candidate, so he might be turned down, but its an option we havent approached yet. Please, God, guide us and help Mark in the best way possible. So Im awake now, and sleep may not be possible. I guess Ill just have a heart-to-heart with God to replace sleep. :) He doesnt talk much, but He sure can act on trouble!!! I hope Hell help me to do the same.
