Eastern Health is advising there will be scheduled power outages at the Health Sciences Centre continuing today and tomorrow. They say the work is necessary to complete electrical upgrades. The outages will occur today and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Some areas of the hospital will switch to emergency power, but officials say client and patient care will not be affected. Also, while the north and south elevators will be out of service for brief periods of time, they wont be out of order at the same time. Security will be on hand to direct visitors and patients to the nearest operating elevators. Some areas of the Health Sciences will also experience partial lighting during the outages.
