Eating Thai style. On a regular meal, we tend not to eat any appetizers but rather everything is served all at once as main course. Typical Thai shares every dish on the table family style; from Tom yum soup, to Tod Mun Pla, to Hor Mok, to Basil Chicken. Dishes are normally eaten with rice. Serving spoons (Thai called middle spoon) are commonly used for sharing. You will notice that Thai dishes are generally meat focused or veggie focuses as every dishes are shared. Therefore, It is common to order some vegetable dishes, curries, and stir-fry dishes for the table for a complete, well-balanced meal. Noodle dishes are typically single persons dish; not for sharing. Noodles also considered a quick meal as it is widely popular on street carts. Next time you are visiting Busaba, try sharing family style. Not only that is Thai way to eat, it also allows everyone to try as many dishes as possible on a single visit.
