Eating light at night. No carbs at night. Eating dinner early, - TopicsExpress

Eating light at night. No carbs at night. Eating dinner early, there is a lot of trending talk about this, but what are the real benefits? I just had my last meal for the day and its 8.30pm so was keen to look at the theory behind this as I plan to let it settle then do a walk and only drink water till bedtime, and herbal tea (learning to like it) maybe piece of fruit if I get my sugar buzz on, so I want to know there is a good strategy for this as its bloody hard not to snack at night. I found this video from a place in the US called the Psychology of Eating !!! Anyway it makes sense, its so your body can detox and metabolise overnight not spend that time digesting your roast dinner, 3 wines, chocolate biscuits and late night cheese and crackers! The key is eat dinner 4 hours before bed and make it light. Get more food in at breakfast lunch and your pre dinner snack at what I call the witching hour, the Hangry time of day, hungry and angry about 4pm is mine. Low on blood sugar, so thats time to have piece fruit, almonds, hummus and vege sticks or clean wafers not crap crackers. So looks like midnight for me to bed then!
