Ebola, Flu, and Colds, Oh My! The Ebola virus has been making headlines lately due to its rampant spread in West Africa, its scary symptoms, and fear that a similar thing could happen here. Media thrives on sensationalism, but the facts tell a different story. FACT: Ebola is extremely difficult to catch. It is transmitted only by close contact with an infected person’s body fluids after he or she has begun exhibiting symptoms. FACTS: •Your chances of contracting Ebola in the US in the next year are 1 in 13.3 million. •Your chances of getting struck by lightning in the next year are 1 in 9.6 million. •Your chances of being killed by a shark in the next year are 1 in 3.7 million. •Your chances of contracting flu in the next year are approximately 1 in 10. The seasonal flu and other viruses present a much more viable threat to us here than Ebola. Many are easily spread by casual contact or through the air. So how do you protect yourself from these invaders? The human immune system is truly a marvel of nature, with an orchestrated series of cells, proteins, organs and vessels that work in concert to protect against invading pathogens and toxins. Each of these components require various cofactors and minerals in order to work at optimal capacity. Defects and deficits in the innate and acquired immune response systems create a “hospitable host,” one that is more susceptible to disease. Identifying and correcting such deficits are the first line of defense in infection control. We recommend a protocol that includes a combination of ascorbates, quercetin, vitamin D3 and zinc for immune support as mentioned here :PERQUE Flu and Virus Protoco •Ascorbates: Since Vitamin C concentrations rapidly decline during infections and stress, supplementation of vitamin C has been found to support immune function.[1] •Quercetin: Studies have shown quercetin to be effective in inhibiting replication of some viruses. •Vitamin D3: Vitamin D has a potential role in modulating the immune response to various infectious diseases.[2] While humans can synthesize Vitamin D3 from sunlight, during the fall and winter months, cold temperatures drive people indoors, and cause them to cover much of their Vitamin-D-producing skin. In addition, the sun is lower in the sky, and available for fewer hours, further adding to the lack of exposure. Vitamin D deficiency becomes a real problem in the winter months, and may be a contributing factor to the seasonal spread of viral illness. • Zinc. As we mentioned last month, Zinc is also important to immune system health, and has a role in many components of immune system function. It has been shown to reduce the incidence of cold symptoms and the duration of illness, but statistics indicate that average intake of zinc is only 47-57% of the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA). Consider supplementation with PERQUE Potent C Guard, PERQUE Repair Guard, PERQUE D3Cell Guard and PERQUE Energized Double Zinc Guard for overall immune system modulation and function during the dark, cold days of Winter.* ordered only through Healthcare Professionals or Doctors Call today to order yours 8047630267 Or email me at diannamwaters@gmail
