Ebola Mr. E, why did you deny us the chance to dance to - TopicsExpress

Ebola Mr. E, why did you deny us the chance to dance to Doro-bucci? You’ve rendered our once lively cities so lifeless How can we be happy when everyday our tiny population gets a lot less? But damn you, not even you can render us hopeless You’ve taken away our December anxiety Many can’t even save as you’ve rendered them jobless Who would plan our outings and “Ladida” as we all look forward to your end with so much stress? Well, some would feel relieved with the absence of J.C. competition and stress But that too is fun, real fun in itself!... Good times and sweet memories that we look forward to every year You can’t imagine how much jazz we’ve bought that we can’t even wear… We are still bamboozled as to how you came upon us There are too many stories as to who or how you got here But does that really matter now?… We just want you outta here You’ve had your bite, deeper than a thrust of spear We’ve lost too much, and if you have a conscience the rest of us you’ll spare. There is nothing as worse as the death-row feeling – just a matter of hours before you die Feeling trapped, nowhere to run to because the system is a lie That feeling of uncertainty that when this is all over you would still be alive But cheer up my friend least you worsen the dehydration when you cry Oh Ebola, you truly reflect the terror of the devilish terrorist that invented you. You’ve eroded our already broken system of education You threaten the very things that bind us together – our tradition Glaringly we don’t know what to do; you’ve left us in a state of confusion Certainly you’ve damaged the economy of our nation And yet you also gave them the opportunity they always crave to exercise their discrimination And now I wonder why our reaction to you can best be described by “negligence” You are worse than the rebels, yet you’re treated with complacence Oh I saw in my dreams that the cure could be a serum therapy – Convalescent! But have we really earned the right to say we’ve done our best? Dear God, our institutions have failed if this is a test! But all is not lost… We won’t despair even at the face of doomsday predictions…gosh! Aren’t you sickened by the media bubbles and busts? But mark my words: when this is all over, we would be more vigilant and lush. For no matter what the whole world does, it will always take “Us” to really save “Us”.
