Ebola and Schools resumption.... The impending resumption of schools as announced by the Minister of education is a very disturbing development. This decision I believe was based on sentiments rather than SCIENTIFIC /MEDICAL reasons. Let me draw this scenario imagine the OAU student that was recently discovered to have contacted the Ebola virus, stopping by in Ibadan on the way from PH playing with a niece or nephew..... Then that nephew going back to nursery school the following day, he then gets to play with lots of friends who also will go home and hug their parents..... Those parents might be our colleagues at work who will also shake hands and hug us as the case may be; thereby passing it to us ... We also go home and hug our kids. Who will also go back to school the following day to innocently spread the virus..... Isnt it fearful to see how fast the virus could spread within a short time to a large percentage of the populace??? Imagine Just one Sawyer gave birth to all these cases..... No matter the inducement, force or tact those private school owners are applying, common sense and survival instinct should prevail. (PLEASE JUST TAKE A MOMENT AND WATCH THESE 3 MOVIES RESIDENT EVIL I AM A LEGEND WORLD WAR Z and you will learn how a deadly virus could get out of control because the system failed) We should just thank God the ”GROUND ZERO” was Lagos State who must be commended for their pro- active and reactive measures . I want to urge all well meaning citizens of this country to bring pressure to bear on the government to allow SCIENTIFIC REASONS to be the basis of school resumption. OUR LIVES ARE IMPORTANT THAN MONEY!!!!! DONT TURN NIGERIA TO LIBERIA OR SIERRA LEONE. Thank you CDN
