Economic update at business breakfast Thursday 3rd October 2013 Danske Bank chief economist Angela McGowan is to provide an overview of the Northern Ireland economy tomorrow morning (Thursday) to members of the Londonderry Chamber of Commerce. The event is a breakfast meeting at the Waterfoot Hotel. Chamber chief executive Sinead McLaughlin said: “These are very uncertain times. Political tensions this week in both the United States and Italy underline just how difficult it is to predict what will happen to the economy. Yet understanding what is happening in the economy is essential for any well run business. “The Chamber is very fortunate to have the highly respected Danske Bank economist Angela McGowan to advise our members on what she thinks is going to happen in the local, national and global economy over the coming period. This will help our members to plan their business development in the short and longer term. “One of our member businesses, Airporter, will also pass on to members the benefits that have been achieved by using economic predictions for business planning. “Events of this kind demonstrate the value of Chamber membership in a very practical way.”
