#Economicallyspeaking (Part 1) as of the year 2013 Kenya was ranked 11th wealthiest country in Africa, positioned 77th in the world. Her GDP then in USD (millions: 80 400). She as been ranked as one the most developing economy in Africa and in the world. May be soon she will be a threat to the developed world. #economicallyspeaking despite Her challenges in efforts to fight the vicious cycle of poverty, I can candidly state that Kenya is one stable and a fast developing economy. Looking at some few recent events in the business sector (Britam 147% over subscription of its corporate bond, the success in Euro bond, Bidco oil ltd receiving kshs 3.2 b on loan from IFC to fund expansion & diversify to new consumer goods, Toyota Kenya multi-billion biz park etc,) just but a few indicators to show the economy is stable and that global institution are intrested in Her. The top 10 economies in Africa are top due to the minerals they hold. If they were to run dry of the minerals then maybe Kenya can be at par with them, just a thought :) then my lovely Kenya can easily see top 3, just after (Nigeria, South Africa & Egypt). Dont forget Egypts economy is well funded by agriculture, thanks to river nile whose source is lake victoria, South Africa is sitting pretty at the top 3 of the wealthiest nations in Africa despite its enormous problems with wealth inequality and Nigeria is just a complex one. #Economicallyspeaking will be the title of a book that am currently writting. The book will narrate gains made economically in Africa since the end of colonial era, current and future positions of Africa as a developing economy at large. I plan to travel extensively within africa to gather data and ideas that will see me develope a best seller and a book that can be used for case studies in the Universities in Africa and the world at large. Kenya is a leading economic power house in Africa that will have alot to show in my book. My dear friends shared materials will be a plus to this noble course. Be blessed.
