Ed Denelsbeck posts today that suicide is weak. The death of Robin Williams should be a reminder to all that even the most outwardly successful people are capable of feeling like they have no escape left from their depression. As someone that has been sorely haunted by the temptation of suicide over the years, all I can say is this: dont judge people until you have walked in their shoes. Major depression can be a crippling illness that makes life seem not worth living at all. If you have no idea what that is like, well then count yourself goddamned lucky. After fighting an uphill battle with himself for 63 years, you can hardly blame the man for throwing in the towel. He lived a good life and brought a lot of joy to many. How many of you can say that?
