Ed Snowden recently revealed that not only was the US spying on American citizens, weve been doing so to our closest allies, such as France and Brazil. The NSA was allegedly even bugging the personal cell phone of German Chancellor Angela Merkel (the Germans get especially skittish because when they keep close tabs on people, their targets usually end up herded onto cattle cars destined for Dachau). Considering his all-consuming paranoia and obsession with monitoring friends and enemies both foreign and domestic, Obama is not the second coming of Lincoln, FDR, or Jimmy Carter. Hes Richard Nixon.
