Eda Blanche Woodbury February 3, 1893 The Times (Cawker City) - The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed. N. Woodbury has been quite ill the past ten days. Their son is gradually recov- ering. February 10, 1893 The Times (Cawker City) - Last Thursday night at 2 oclock Edith, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. N. Woodbury, passed from life unto death. She had been ill but a week. The even- ing before she died she called for her doll and as she fondled it and brush- ed its hair, said Mama, this is Christ- mas morning, isnt it? Edith was in the sixth year of her age. She was a bright, handsome child and her death fills the hearts of her fond parents with deep sorrow and anguish. The funeral took place Saturday morn- ing at 10 oclock. To the bereaved parents, the TIMES joins their many friends in extending sympa- thy. June 1, 1893 Cawker City Public Record - When little Eda Woodbury was cal- led to the better land, her classmates, in Miss Steeds room , contributed mon- ey to buy flowers to be placed on her remains, but the time was too short to obtain them for her funeral, so the flowers were not purchased until this week, and her grave was decorated on Memorial Day with a handsome floral tribute from her classmates, who will know from this notice that the money was used for the purpose they intended.
