Edens’ Garden Personal Garden Spots Many of you may have heard the term CSA or (Community Supported Agriculture). Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a partnership of mutual commitment between a local farm and a community of supporters. CSA provides a direct connection between the production and consumption of food by providing fresh weekly produce to CSA members during the growing season for a price. At Edens’ Garden we have been asked many times if we provided such a support or service and the answer was no. A CSA is not what Edens’ Garden was created for. It was created to provide the lowest cost, natural grown produce possible. What that means is at Edens’ Garden we try to use only Natural, Organic and Old Fashion farming methods. At Edens’ Garden we are strong supporters of education, teaching and sharing. We have a great deal of pride in what we do and how we do it. We enjoy nothing more than to share our methods and techniques with anyone that is willing to listen. Because of the CSA request we have had and the fact we are based on teaching and sharing, Edens’ Garden will be offering again, this year something that is a little different. We will offer Personal Garden Spots to the public. We will provide the water, Pesticides, Fertilization, Gardening Advise and a fenced in controlled area in the main Garden all in the price of each Personal spot. We will have three sizes of spots to select from. All Garden spots will be available from March 1, 2015 until August 31, 2015, Please reserve your spot by March 1, 2015. We are limited on space we have to offer. All Garden spots will be plowed and ready for planting for you by Edens’ Garden for you to start off right. If you are not interested in a personal Garden spot or would like to order your produce in advance we will be happy to take your order. We will be selling by the pound this year as we have in the past and we will now offer wholesale prices as well. If you find that the Personal Garden spot, buying by the pound or ordering in advance are not what you need and you prefer a CSA membership program we can provide you with local CSA providers that we sell to you as an option. Personal Garden Spot at Edens’ Garden: 1. Over 1100 square feet of space for - $1000.00 2. Over 750 square feet of space for - $775.00 3. Over 300 square feet of space for - $325.00 The personal spots are yours to work, plant, harvest and weed. The produce you grow is yours to do with as you see fit. Rules of the Personal Garden spots are: 1. You only put in the Garden what has been approved by Edens’ Garden. We do not want bad things in the dirt. 2. You cannot plant corn, in the Garden (sorry it is all about pollination control) 3. Access to your Garden spot is available anytime that Edens’ garden is open to the public or we are working in the Garden ourselves. (Hours will be published in March for 2015.) You should know that we will provide access to the Personal Gardens on Saturdays and Sundays unless we have an emergency or event that forces us to close the Garden. Normal hours for personal Gardens will be 9:00am until 7:00pm seven days a week. The Garden is protected with an electric fence and locks on the gates. These will be controlled by Edens’ Garden and turned off and opened when the Garden is open for you to access. 6. Tools to work your Garden can be provided by Edens’ Garden or you can bring your own, but gas operated tools must be approved by Edens’ Garden. (Use our tools for free and avoid bringing your own. When available) 7. We will provide seeds and plants for a small cost if you want or need them for most all produce. 8. Advice and education is provided by Edens’ Garden for you when you want and need it. (Included in the cost) 9. As stated Edens’ Garden will provide and help with the application of the water, pesticides and fertilizer for your personal spot. (Included in the cost) 10. Edens’ Garden will prepare the Personal garden spot and ready it for planting for you. One time a year. (Included in the cost) 11. Edens’ Garden is not responsible in any way for bad, damaged, spoiled, and diseased or health issue that may result in any way from what you grow in your personal garden. What you are required to do and provide for your Personal Garden Spot: 1. Weed control. Weed control is critical to a good productive garden. You are responsible to weed and dress up your spot. 2. Harvest produce. The produce you grow in your Personal Garden Spot is yours (take it). Produce will produce in stages and many types over and over. Harvesting can be an almost daily opportunity depending on what you plant. You are responsible for harvesting your produce. If it is not harvested when ready it may spoil or go to seed. This is your responsibility to maintain. 3. Respect the rest of the Edens’ Garden and other Personal Gardens. Only manage yours not others. Let your neighbor have the joy of managing their own Garden Spot. 4. Any concerns or issues related to Edens’ Garden in anyway can only be directed to Charles W. Edens or Donna M. Edens. Payment and Payment Methods for Personal Garden Spots: Personal Garden Spots Offered at Edens’ Garden Cost: 1. Over 1100 square feet of space for - $1000.00 (reference 1a large space) 2. Over 750 square feet of space for - $775.00 (reference 2a Medium space) 3. Over 300 square feet of space for - $325.00 (reference 3a Small space) All Garden Spots must be reserved by March 1 2015 The Personal Garden Spot provides you with the space from March 15, 2015 until August 31, 2015 Personal Garden Spots at Edens’ Garden Payment Options, Agreement and Conditions: 1. All Payment must be made to Edens’ Garden by check or cash. ONLY 2. To reserve your spot you must pay $50.00 to reserve your spot before March 1, 2015. This will be subtracted from your total garden spot cost up front. 3. The next payment must be paid before March 31, 2015. The March 31, 2015 payment is one half the total costs for the space you are getting. 4. The final payment which is the remaining half of the cost of the spot you are getting is due on May 31, 2015. This will be payment in full for the Personal Garden spot. 5. Any payment not made on or before the date listed above voids your rights to the space and all produce, plants and growth in your personal garden space at Edens’ Garden. 6. All fees and payments are none refundable. 7. You agree to weed and take care of your Garden spot on weekly bases. 8. Edens’ Garden will take position of the spot and all plants, if you fail to honor any portion of the rules or agreement. This will be done without notice. 9. Edens Garden is protected be an electric fence and only managed by the owner. Edens Garden will not be responsible for any injury as a result of any activity on the property including, but not limited to the electric fence. 10. Admission to Personal Garden space is only permitted when the Garden is open (meaning regular Edens Garden operating hour or by special permission from Edens garden management and owner.)
