Edmonds residents will gather Thursday evening at their town Library to discuss the impacts of having certain commodities, including coal, travel by rail through their community. We look forward to a productive discussion, and recall a 2013 study by the Washington Research Council — which found that while Washington state will continue to see an increase in the number of trains moving through its cities, this traffic directly supports our region’s ability to stay competitive as a leader in world trade.
