Education is important both to animal lovers who are not aware (here in Vegas Im told its the busiest shelter in the country) of the amount of unwanted animals that are killed, (our shelter alone , just the one, kills between 50 and 100 animals a DAY!!!!!!!! - I doubt they take even Christmas off, if they do, then it will be 100-200 the following day) One shelter in one city of the whole US. The real numbers have to be staggering an in the billions. As for the breeders, they should be licensed and policed rigorously, no puppy mill. Then you have the stupids, those who either 1. Breed dogs for fighting. and 2. Those who are just to lazy to spay or neuter, many of which are low cost, if not FREE, it should be law to have those animals fixed with a hefty fine $5000 or so if not done. All it takes is a little time and caring. Put these things into law along with mandatory sentencing for animal abusers, mandatory meaning NO PLEA BARGAINS (they can replace all the people doing hard time for low level, non violent drug offenses this way and not lose funding for their prisons) Tell me people, I need feedback, does this not sound like a REASONBLE, RESPONSIBLE, ENLIGTENED solution? Like if you agree. I want to know how many out there see this.
