Educational awareness program - Tanda village We are very pleased to inform you that Care for All Trust organized an educational awareness program in Tanda village of Chhaprauli on 11th January 2015. The purpose of the program was to aware people about the importance of education. Demographic of Tanda village. Tanda is a Village in Chhaprauli Tehsil in Baghpat District of Uttar Pradesh State, India. It belongs to Meerut Division. Tanda has population approximately 15000. It is located 43 KM towards North from District head quarters Bagpat. 9 KM from Chhaprauli. 537 KM from State capital Lucknow Though Tanda has significant population with a village perspective but still there were just few graduates in whole Tanda village because of the limited resources. Imagine a world without schools and colleges! Impossible, right? No matter how much we hate waking up early for school or studying all night for those tests and exams, we all know that education is very important. Now, I am not saying that an uneducated man has no chance of being successful or an educated man will surely do well in life. Exceptions are always there. However most of us will agree that an educated person gets better opportunities in life. It is easier for him to become successful and realize his dreams as compared to someone who is uneducated. Other than success and economic prosperity, there are various other reasons why education is almost necessity in today’s world. Would like to share few points of our program and our finding. 1. Illiteracy rate is very high and just few (you can count on tips) graduates in whole village of population of 15000. 2.More than 100 local people participated in the education awareness program. People were very cooperative and they did listen to the whole program and asked many good questions. They want to send their kids to good schools but unfortunately they dont have good schools and sending their kids to nearby town and cities is very challenging due to bad transportation and lot of other issues. 3. Per local people, they can not allow their girls to go out of village for good education due to security issues. 4.They have very limited resources like electricity, good teachers and good study materials. They dont have adequate infrastructures in schools. 5.Extremely low ratio of students in science and commerce stream. 6.We hardly found even a single student out of around 40 (available in program) who have set a goal of his life. 7. Care for All Trust distributed recognition certificate to young students who did well in their academics to promote them in education. 8.We urged the people of village to identify science students of 11 and 12 class and send them to our center ICC Kairana for free coaching of engineering and medical entrances. We believe this is not the problem of just Tanda village but most of the villages and towns have same (more or less) problems. Care for All trust planning to organize similar camps in other villages of western UP and based on concrete analysis, we will share our finding and better feasible solution to eradicate illiteracy and bring bare minimum education in the society. Care for All trust would like to thank to Village head Shakeel and his team Mohd Abid, Mohd Nafees and Mohd Nwazish for all the arrangement required to organize the program. CFAT thank to our operation team Mr Gaffar Khan, Shadab, Abdul Qadir, Aazad and Akhtar bhai for their valable time and selfless service to the community.
