Edward Owen Covey Jr. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 Obituary of Edward Covey Jr. Edward Owen Covey Jr., 71, of Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Riverview Health in Noblesville. He was born on January 18, 1943 in Lebanon, Indiana. Ed was retired from the Noblesville Fire Department, where he had been a firefighter from 1975-1997. He was also a U.S. Coast Guard veteran. He was a member of the V.F.W. 6246, where he had been a Jr. Vice President; a Past Commander of the American Legion Post 45; and a member of the Moose Lodge & Eagles. He is survived by children, Greg (Debby) Ashby, Bruce Covey, Tina (Tim) Howard, Sherri (Chuck) Townsend, Brad Ashby, Christi Singleton and Matthew Piper; sisters, Sharon (Todd Jackson) Covey and Patricia (George) Gingras; and many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother & stepfather, Barbara A. (Campbell) Grimes & Richard Grimes; his father, Edward Owen Covey Sr; son, James Edward Little Eddie Covey; grandson, Scotty Allan Boatwright; and brother, Joseph Earl Covey. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 21, 2014, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am immediately prior to the service. Pastor Jeff Gammon will officiate. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
