Edwin C. MacNeil passed away on January 31st, 2013 in Pensacola Florida. He had a great day that started with all the fresh strawberries for breakfast he wanted. He then set to work on a project of fixing the spotlight on the RV that illuminated the flag. When he finished that he laid down on the floor complaining of back pain, and was later airlifted to the hospital with a ruptured abdominal aneurism. (As my sister said later, "Leave it to Dad to get in one last flight!") He died shortly thereafter. He was an organ and tissue donor. In April, a memorial service complete with military honors and bagpipes was held at his home church, Christ Church in Exeter, NH where his ashes are interred. He lead a great life and enjoyed it to the max, and left quite a legacy to all who knew him! I hope that those who are just finding out about his death can forgive us for not having notified you.
