“Eid 2014 moon sighted in Pakistan” Sachnews Jammu Kashmir: Bilal Habib: KARACHI: Pakistan’s Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee chairman Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman on Monday announced that Shawal Crescent has sighted in the different parts of the country so Eid-Al-Fitr will be on July 29. Earlier Updates: “Pakistan will celebrate Eid-al-Fitr on Tuesday, July 29″, sources in central Ruet-e-Hilal (Moon sighting) Committee Told News Agency The central committee meeting was held in Pakistan’s largest city Karachi along-with Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta for the sighting of Shawwal Crescent. Members of the central and Karachi Ruet-e-Hilal committees, officials of the Met Department and Space, and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) experts were present on the occasion. Services from Pakistan Meteorological Department were also taken for making final decision of Shawwal moon sighting. According to the sources, Moon Sighting Committee has received many evidences from Sukkur, Jackobabad and different areas of the Balochistan province. Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees meetings were conducted at their respective headquarters. People were asked to give any moon-sighting evidence or seeking any information on Telephone numbers.
