Eid Mubarak!! 1.‘Islam’ is an Arabic word, which has originated from the word Sallamaa, which means peace and surrender – submission to the will of God. ~ Sirshree 2.Allah is The One, it’s only Allah who can be adored and worshipped and no one. Everything in the world, objects or creatures is his will. Allah, God, Lord, Self, Consciousness are different names of the same, one and only creator.~ Sirshree 3.Musalman means who believes only in The One. Allah, God, Lord, Self, Consciousness are various names of the same one creator.~ Sirshree 4.Roja means holding yourself from (or fasting). Hence, when one does Roja, he holds himself from certain things and contemplates on: “Who am I?” and “How can my haj – the journey. The month of Roja (abstaining) suggests Roja of food, Roja of sins and Roja of tendencies. After that, the possibility of knowing your true self or Allah opens up, which is what is called as selfrealization. ~ Sirshree 5. One can be called a true Musalman only when he is completely surrendered to God. ~Sirshree 6. When one greets "As-Salaam-Alaikum," it means "Peace be unto you," "Grace be unto you," and when one replies back "Wa-Alaikum-Salaam," it implies “Unto you peace, unto you grace." Hence imagine how wonderful it would be, when one begins the day with the greetings, "Peace Understanding of the teachings of any religion is more important than merely uttering the towards self-realization – be accomplished?” be unto you," "Grace be unto you."words. ~Sirshree 7. Just as water, jal or paani are different words for the same thing, similarly Allah, Ishwar and God are different words for the same creative principle.~ Sirshree 8. Calling water by other words like jal, neer, paani or H2O does not change the quality of water. Hence don’t consider him Christian who says water and Hindu who says jal. Everyone is Musalman if they have faith on the One. Everyone is Hindu if they lead their lives knowing the One, everyone is Christian if they want entry into the kingdom of the Lord (the One). Everyone is Sikh if they have not stopped seeking (learning)…. Every one is ONE. Merely changing the name of the One like Allah, Ishwar, God, etc. does not change the Truth, the Source, the Consciousness. ~ Sirshree 9. “La Ilaha Il-lallah, Muhammad-ur rasul Allah”, which means there is no other Allah than Allah (the Creator, God or Consciousness). The intention behind reciting this is a man should realize the Truth –- No individual is Allah, there is only one Allah he is the only door and not you. ~Sirshree 10. ‘Allah hu Akabar’ which means Allah (the Self, the Consciousness) is great. He is the one who alone is operating the entire world. ~ Sirshree 11. Islam religion says every Musalam has to go for haj (pilgrimage) at least once; which means visit Allah at least once in your lifetime. When one goes into the depth of this sentence, he will realize haj or visiting Allah means self-realization and this is the whole sole purpose of life. If this does not happen, then our human birth goes in vain. If one achieves this purpose of going for haj, he becomes eligible for celebrating Eid. ~ Sirshree
