Eid ul Adha is Sunday. EID UL ADHA CONFUSION - REALITY OF EIDs CONNECTION WITH HAJJ! Many people are confused every year about when Eid ul Adha should be celebrated in the UK. A confusion has been created that when Hajj & Yawm ul Arafah is performed then the following day MUST be Eid all over the world. This indeed is a huge conspiracy and is a cover up of the reality to create confusion amongst the Muslim Ummah. The Messenger of Allah [SalAllahu Alayhi Wasallam] celebrated Eid ul Adha on the 10th of Zul Hajj and they determined the 10th by sighting the crescent for the 1st day of the month and from then on the 10th day would be Eid. Therefore we must also follow the same method as this is what the Quran & Sunnah has ordained. As for those who assume or conspire that we must perform Eid the day after Hajj is performed Makkah Muazzama, should go back to basic works of Seerah and they would discover this has never been the case. Eid ul Adha was first celebrated by the Prophet SalAllahu alaihi wasallam in the 2nd year of Hijra (after Migration) whereas the 1st Hajj was made an obligation & performed in the 9th year of Hijra (after migration). The question is if Eid is dependant upon Hajj how did the Messenger of Allah [SalAllahu Alayhi Wasallam] perform Eid for 7 years when Hajj did not even exist? The answer to this question is simple and that is, that Eid was celebrated according to the sighting of the moon. Also any individual who has gone for Hajj can be asked and they will testify to the following - whilst on Hajj one of the conditions is that on the 10th (when eid is celebrated accross the world) the Hajis cannot perform, celebrate Eid or even read the Eid prayer. It is disallowed to celebrate Eid whilst on Hajj because they are in state of Ihram. So when Hajis themselves wont perform Eid even though they are in Makkah themselves & are performing Hajj, how can Eid be connected to Hajj? This is just a fallacy and is due to lack of education. And this causes disruption amongst the Ummah. May Allah Almighty guide us all and give us the ability to follow the Shariah and its regulations. Aameen! NOTE - Eid ul Adha in the UK will fall on Sunday October 5th.
