Eight years ago today we adopted a wonderful dog from the North Woods Animal Shelter in Iron River, Mi. He has been such a wonderful companion, friend and blessing to our family. He bonded so well with us from the very day we brought him home. I am so grateful to have him in my life. He has brought me through some challenging times, especially since the loss of my dear soul mate and husband. Thank you Marley, for being such a wonderful furry friend and being there for me in some long and lonely evenings. I love you Marley and never forget how much your daddy loved you too. I encourage everyone out there who would like to have a new dog or cat or pet in your life to please help rescue some of those pets who are longing to have a loving home with you and not being confined to a cage in a shelter. They do wonderful things at the shelters to help homeless animals but what they really are longing for is a loving family to give them a good home and to show them what it is like to be loved. Please give them a chance!
