Ekiti: Tribunal in Abuja admits Fayose’s impeachment docs as exhibit October 27, 2014 | Filed under: Featured , News From The States | Posted by: nigeriapoliticsonline Ekiti state Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja today confirmed the impeachment of newly inaugurated Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state in 2006. The tribunal, which today admitted the impeachment document of Mr. Ayo Fayose as exhibit, also overruled the objection of Fayose’s lawyers who wanted to frustrate other witnesses and waste time as usual. It thereafter admitted documents of impeachment filled by the All Progressive Congress (APC) against Fayose, a source disclosed. Speaking with special adviser to Speaker, Ekiti state House of Assembly, Mr. Wole Olujobi, he confirmed that the tribunal ruled against Fayose thereby admitting the governor was impeached in 2006.
