#EkitiHasDecided It is official! PDP = 203,090 votes APC = 120,433 votes The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared Mr Ayodele Fayose aka Ibo, of the PDP as the winner of the June 21st gubernatorial election conducted by the commission in Ekiti state yesterday. The controversial PDP candidate and poultry farmer, Ayodele Fayose who connected with the stomach needs of the hoi polloi with raw rice pulled a total of 203,090 votes to defeat the elitist Kayedo Fayemi of the APC who failed to connect with the stomach infrastructure of the proletariat with cooked rice, and was thus compensated with a total of 120,433 votes, placing him at a distant second position. Reactions has been trailing in since the outcome of the election was made public . What did the opposition (PDP) do right and what didnt the ruling party (APC) get right? My take is premised on a Fabian strategy. According to Emperor Fabian Contactus Aurelius Maximum, the Great Roman General and author of the Fabian strategies of war and peace, The knowledge of artillery and the artillery of knowledge, are not the same. He admonished his soldiers on the battle field that you do not settle major skirmish with minor artillery. Major battles are fought and won with major artillery! Its that simple for it takes a balance of terror to combat evil! The Fabian gambit involves engaging the adversary and wearing him down gradually with attrition until you finally go for his jugular with an ear splitting suckered punch that will bring him down to the canvas in total submission. The ruling APC must have taught that the Ekiti election was a minor skirmish so they deployed their minor artillery. For the PDP, they saw the June 21st gubernatorial election as a major battle and they unleashed all the deadly arsenal in their armoury. From the deployment of troops to take care of ground forces, to the deployment of airforce fighter jets to conquer the air, to the deployment of their Navy tactical amphibious fleet to provide aerial bombardment, to the deployment of stomach infrastructure in the form of raw rice to conquer the stomach enzymes and keep hunger induced gastric ulcers at bay, the PDP was battled ready. They came prepared and had all angles covered. They connected with the long suffering masses and spoke their language in a dress rehearsal for 2015. Because they needed to send a message to the opposition! The popular war song was on the lip of every PDP fighter : One Bag, One Vote.. Two bags, Two votes.... Three bags, Three votes.... Fayose!!! Ibo!!!!! PDP!!! Power To The Stomach!!!! While the Fayose and PDP was rolling out their tanks, Fayemi and the APC were busy speaking grammar and playing cry babies as Abuja brought intimidating federal might into the electoral process, and aphyxiated the party and its soldier in a reenactment of the Kiriji war. It was obvious that Fayemi did not carry out practical simulations of war situations during his Ph.D on War Studies. I am tempted to think that his doctorate on War Studies was a taught degree. The result of yesterdays election was a clear pointer to that fact. It is also a vindication of Fabio Contactus Aurelius Maximus, the Great Roman General and Victor of many war, who posited that the artillery of knowledge and the knowledge of artillery are not the same! The cosmic forces will not forgive me if I fail to congratulate the winner of the election. Congratulobia Fayose! Once again you were able to demonstrate your doggedness as a man from the streets! You have proven yourself to be a cat with nine lives. Once again, I am reminded of the fact that I should never underestimate the powers of FOOLISH people gathered in large numbers! Whoever thought an incumbent can lose an election in Nigeria? Ekiti parapo showed us the way to Nirvana! Believe, it is possible to send Goodluck Jonathan packing like Fayemi of the APC. The good people of Ekiti has opened a vista in our moribund political history: Do Not Reward Failures with a second term! Dazzol -S.A
