El Camino College Golf Classic Tees off May 9 El Camino College’s 27th Annual Warrior Athletics Golf Tournament is set for May 9 at the scenic Los Verdes Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes. The tournament format is a four-person scramble beginning at 1 p.m. with an awards dinner to follow. Check-in and a putting contest begin at noon – single players will be grouped. Awards will be given and tournament contests include: Hole in One, Closest to the Pin, Circle of Opportunity, Men/Women Long Drive, Putting Contest, and a prize drawing at the end of the day. Tournament sponsorships are also available. Some of the benefits sponsors receive include: tournament naming, corporate welcome banner, Warrior plaque, and admission to the ECC Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet, as well as name placement on tournament signs, and on the El Camino College Athletics Web page. The Golf Tournament celebrates the athletic program at El Camino College, as well as the success of Warrior student-athletes. Proceeds will go toward academic support services, tutoring, equipment, supplies, facility improvements, staff development, and other needs throughout the year. The $150 per player registration includes green fees, cart, mulligan package, tee package, all contests, dinner, and five raffle tickets.
