Electing lawyers to Congress is a problem. They cannot seem to speak plainly. Is it possible they truly believe s Congressional Authorization To Use Military Force is NOT a Declaration Of War as envisioned by the Framers? If my neighbors wife writes him a note authorizing him to enter my home without MY permission, am I to see that as NOT a burglary? Am I to forget all about it after the expiration date his wife wrote into her authorization has passed? Do these people ACTUALLY believe they can authorize the President to order the Pentagon to send men under arms into a sovereign state without the permission of that state to kill people and destroy property AND THEY HAVE NOT STARTED A WAR? Does ANYONE believe that? Do they believe the hostilities will magically stop when the authorization expires? Do they believe the aggrieved sovereign state will forget all about it after it expires? Do they THINK about the nonsense they spew? I do not.
