Election day. I would be remiss if I didnt express the importance of this day for letting your voice be heard through your vote. Do not believe what naysayers tell you--your vote doesnt matter. Your vote absolutely matters because our Constitution gives citizens the authority on Who Decides to represent each of us through our state legislatures and our federal representatives. VOTE! On this day in 1924, Nellie Taylor Ross of Wyoming was elected the first female governor in the United States. Imagine that in 90 years the tremendous leaps that America has taken in science, technology, energy, entrepreneurship and more. We are a nation of CAN-DO, not yes, we can. It is the adventurous and positive attitude of our Founders and Framers of the Constitution that laid the foundation for the Possible, not the impossible. Many of your neighbors, friends, family and citizens are feeling the weight of impossibility, betrayal, disillusionment and dithering of both an administration that has runaway and representatives on Capitol Hill that have grown weak in mind, spirit and courage. Hope is not a strategy--the Constitution is the pathway that our Framers provided to us, but we must have the fortitude and conviction that indeed it is the right way to move forward in limiting DCs stifling policies and indecision. Who decides the path for Americas next few years? YOU DO! The nation that you envision and desire is before you today--in the form of a voting booth filled with names, filled with choices. You decide to re-ignite the flame of liberty and send a message to the federal government that no, today is not the day you relent your liberty and freedom for government largesse. Today is the day that we decide the kind of government we want. Today is one step closer for holding all politicians accountable for their words and actions (or lack thereof).
