Election process kicks off in Ekiti The process for electing a governor for Ekiti State has effectively commenced. Accreditation will last till 12noon, while voting will start by 12.30pm. As early as the 8:00 a.m. that the accreditation was scheduled to begin, people were on queues at different polling units. At the Polling Unit 17, in Ward 10, Ado Ekiti, the accreditation was temporarily halted as people were arguing over queuing arrangement, with the Electoral Officers maintaining that only two queues would be allowed while the voters rejected the position. It took the presence of policemen to restore sanity, as the accreditation resumed. Along the streets, police vans kept parading the streets All across the state, security agents are working round the clock to ensure that sensitive materials are not compromised and voters are not molested.
