Electoral Rolls are being updated online. But surprising to see online application forms like Form 6, 7 & 8 are not accepted in the corporation offices. It is so ridiculous seeing these applications online without a serial No. Moreover, even people who have the ID cards, dont find their names in the voter lists updated till Jan 2014. Name corrections, address changes etc... are not updated as required. Two months before, read it newspapers that any one above 18 years of age can vote if he has any government issued ID card, but now they say that unless your name is not listed in the voting lists, you cannot vote. Such practices should be banned. Rightly so people should be made to vote if they have any of the government issued ID at the current address. More so, people who have submitted their application for adddress or name corrections last month will find their names in the voting list by April, which means a processing time of two months. And todays special campaign to enroll to get the ID card either corrected or a new one will take processing tiem of just 20 days as mentioned by one of the officers. Anyways, it is a request for all to get yourself enrolled in the voters lists, dont waste your voting power so that you can vote for a bright candidate who can help India as a whole grow....
