Electronic Music gurus! I have a question. So lets say that I am using my midi controller to control the cutoff frequency of a filter on a VST synth and a handful of other parameters in Ableton Live 8. Lets say I mess around with it until it is at the perfect point for the verse, but I want to change it around a little bit for the chorus. I feel like what I am about to ask HAS to be possible, I just dont know how, since honestly, I do the bulk of my automation with a mouse. How can I get Ableton to look at my loop and say hey CC19 is at position 113 and CC20 is at position 57, I should take a snapshot of this. (without trying to nudge the pot 1 tick over while recording and then pushing it back again when done.) Ideally what I would like to do is assign the parameters to a modulation envelope in a clip, but if I have to do it in an automation lane, that would work too. Suggestions? PS no max for live!
