Unfortunately, criminals are able to scan the radio frequencies of your credit card and steal your identity and credit card information. This technique is called electronic pickpocketing, and it is a major concern for many credit card holders Here are some tips to tackle electronic pickpocketing. 1. Carry your RFID credit card ONLY when you are sure that you will be using it to make a purchase. 2. Watch your credit card statements carefully. If a thief steals your identity or credit card information, you will usually begin to notice suspicious activity on your credit card statement. You will then be able to stop your credit cards before too much damage is done. 3. The thief will be using scanner to steal information from your card. When you carry RFID credit cards in your wallet, adopt any of the methods to block the scanner. There are some secure wallets which will shield the cards from scanners. --- Alternatively, you can wrap tin foil around your card in the wallet.
