Today is the New Year according to the African calender, it is also the day the armed military wing of PAC, 11 September 1961 the African Peoples Liberation Army (APLA) was founded on this day after the Pan-Africanist Congress of Azania felt it was a need because of the Sharpville Massacre the previous year. It is also the day where, 13 years ago, CIA disguised itself by the name of AlQaida and bombed the World Trade Centre and pinned it on Osama Bin Laden in Washington DC, USA. For us who know her from here on Facebook and real life, Zanele Zetstar Ndlovu whom is rising to success in her career of art and story-telling, is going to be at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Universitys North Campus Auditorium to exhibit her story-telling talent for the first Eastern Cape Book Festival which is Madoda Ndlakuses idea. There are just many things that we Africans should be proud of today, so let us not drag a dark cloud over this day by getting drunk or acting barbaric, let us celebrate this day in honour of the people abd occasions that mark this day as a glorious one for the African people. We need to be proud of our own as much as we sympathise with those innocent people who lost their lives to corruption of the White House, as we calm our hearts, excitement starts to build up as we start a New Year in Africa and as there are things to rejoice about,.i trust its going to be a beautiful day and birds are already singing and praising the Most High,.let me join them, oh 11 September, there is just so many things to celebrate about you.
