Eleven years ago, I had an intractable Urinary Tract Infection . I was in complete bed rest starting 28 weeks of pregnancy due to uterine contraction, a big adjustment from my busy life. The ordeal didnt end there. When my baby was delivered, she had a skin problem. Her skin was very dry with bruises. She had incessant crying because she was suffering from the pain of her wounds. She was put in an incubator for 11 days to avoid infection. Her Pediatricians were in dilemma of her skin condition. Collodion Baby was considered, a disease associated with cracking and peeling of the skin that can lead to psychological problem because its a lifetime condition. A Resident Physician, not aware that I was around, said Kawawa naman si baby, Pediatrician pa naman ang mother niya. I became depressed. My friends, relatives esp. my husband became worried of me and my baby. I questioned myself. I could treat my patients but I couldn,t even diagnose my child. I surrendered everything to GOD. My babys condition resolved after one month. My knowledge and skills as a Pediatrician were not enough.. my baby was cured by the GREAT HEALER. Now, heres my beautiful child... HAPPY BIRTHDAY IC !
