Eleven years ago today, the course of my life changed dramatically...forever. These three amazing people went home to be with our Lord. I didnt think Id make it through that day, let alone eleven years. I miss them fiercely, but losing them has taught me so much about this life. What things are important and what things are not. Im posting this to make you pause and think about your own lives, not to feel sorry for me. Take time during all the hustle and bustle of this holiday season and truly appreciate what you have. Spend some quality time with those you love most and dont waste even a single second in telling them what they mean to you. There are a million clichés about that, but my life became a cliché. I never thought it could happen to our family......but it did. And the experience of that enormous loss prepared me to face what was to come in the future. My Mom, Dad and baby sister, Christy, were the kind of people you dont run across in life very often. They were amazingly kind, extremely loving and the funniest three people Ive ever known! If you were lucky enough to know them, I ask that you take a moment to think about them today and write me a little message about a wonderful time you shared with them. It will bring tears of joy to me!
