Elias Ramon “Ray” Quintana July 20, 1931 – June 21, 2014 Elias Ramon “Ray” Quintana, 82, of Phenix City, AL, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am EST on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Vance Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Brian Squires officiating. Interment will be private at Girard Cemetery and the family will receive friends 1 hour before the service at the funeral home. Mr. Quintana was born on July 20, 1931, in Santa Fe, NM, the son of the late Francisco and Frances Quintana. He was an Army Airborne veteran serving in both Korea and Vietnam before retiring after over 20 years of service. “Uncle Ray” and “Aunt Alice” were members of Lakewood Baptist Church and were especially dedicated to the nursery and it’s children. He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Alice Pearl Quintana, his parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by many devoted nieces, nephews, other extended family and a host of loving friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Lakewood Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
