Eliza Squibb first explored using art to communicate science in Roger Hanlon’s lab at the MBL in 2012. Today, Squibb is creating textile art to spread the word about HPV vaccines in Mali as executive director of the Global Alliance to Immunize Against AIDS Vaccine Foundation. Squibb, a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, also served as a teaching assistant for Hanlon’s and Mark Milloff’s (of RISD) joint course, “The Art and Science of Visual Perception,” held on the Brown University campus.
