Anyhoo, for today I just wanted to share with you a link to a discussion that took place awhile back on Etsy: https://etsy/ca/teams/7722/discussions/discuss/8677060/ The article started off with a member wondering whether or not they could legally create Mario (as Nintendos Mario) themed stuff. Quick answer? No, you cant. In any case, copyrights and whatnot are something that comes up A LOT in the Art/Craft world and sadly there are many that just arent educated or simply dont care, when intellectual property rights are concerned, so I thought Id share this with you all. What are your thoughts on the matter? Would create Nintendo or [insert another popular franchise here] stuff and sell it? If so, why? Also, would you knowingly buy these products? Does it matter and why or why not?
