Ellen Page is so Brave because she publicly state/came out that she was gay. That is NOT bravery. You wanna see bravery, hang with a firefighter or go visit our deployed troops. Publicly outing your private life is not bravery its stupidity. It does not matter if one is gay/straight/trans/bi/shoe lover/omgwtfbbq she is not dating any of us. Media junkets FEED bigotry by shoving things like this in peoples faces. It goads conflict to wave such facts in narrow minded peoples lives as if its a win for the gay community. When a force pushes against something, expect that force to either meet resistance or be pushed back. Just let her be. I dont see news stories about rubicks cubes having 6 sides or cars having 4 wheels. Theyre legit facts as well, and just as common as knowing there is a gay community in our world. Just respect them and their privacy, dont make a spectacle of it. We wont ever wake up one day and need to be reminded that LGBT exists, the world knows. Id give the same dumb diatribe about hearing whoever Ashton kutcher married/knocked up, whatever. I dont care, it is not news, theyre peoples life choices and dont need public awareness.
