Email from the school: This is Interim Principal Mrs. Beth Pratt with an explanation of some activities that took place today at school. Students returning from their CTEi work site came into the cafeteria from the rear parking lot. A student having lunch in the cafeteria noticed that one of the students had face protection from working outside and phoned home to report a suspicious person at the school. The parent called the police who immediately responded with a large local and state police presences. At that point the building went into lockdown. Once the police went through the building and spoke with the students involved, the lockdown was lifted. All precautions were taken to ensure the safety of everyone at the school. While it was reported by one of the police officers that this incident was a prank, we do not believe that this was the case. Please refer any questions to the Leominster Police Department who responded to this incident and worked closely with the school administrators to resolve this situation quickly. Thank you.
