Email sent out to league today regarding Keepers/Constitution: I - TopicsExpress

Email sent out to league today regarding Keepers/Constitution: I was reviewing the Constitution/updating it with current rules, etc. One of the things that I noticed that I had in place that I had forgotten about was the part about selecting Keepers. "Every year you are required to keep at minimum two, with a maximum of four players from the previous season’s roster. It can be any combination of players, regardless of position, with the exception of QB. You may only keep one QB from year to year. With the new position (OP) you may want to have two quality QBs on your team, but for fairness reasons, you may only keep one." The reason that this rule for QBs was put in place was because: A) at one point we had 14 teams in the league B) QB was a very top-heavy position at the time. I feel that this needs to be addressed because things have changed in our league. We are down to 10 teams (and should stay that way) and with the addition of Luck/RG3/Wilson/Kaepernick along with several other QBs performing well now, that there should be no issue with you keeping as many as you want (maximum of 4 obviously). I am changing this rule before the draft this year that you can keep any player you want, regardless of position up to a maximum of 4 players. Keepers lock an hour before the draft, so you have plenty of time to decide who you want to keep. Draft is at 7pm EST on Sept 2nd (Labor Day). An updated Constitution should be available by the end of the night tonight. Thanks
