ESSENTIAL CRITERIA To be successful in this position, it is essential that you have: • Understanding of Cross cultural issues particularly as the affect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. • Demonstrated capacity to consult with, support and advocate for Aboriginal people, their families and communities sensitively and effectively, and develop strong networks • Demonstrated capacity to develop partnerships with external organisations • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills including report writing. • Experience facilitating groups including consultation and training • Demonstrated ability to develop strategies aimed at ensuring the relevance, accessibility and responsiveness of ANGLICARE to the Aboriginal community • Experience promoting and encouraging access to mainstream services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander persons • Proven ability to undertake community development projects, develop strong networks and undertake consultation • Ability to support and promote the Christian Mission and Values of ANGLICARE.
