Emancipate yourself........ Emancipate yourself From mental slavery None but ourselves Shall free our minds Those were the words of the legendary reggae musician Bob Marley. For so many of us, we are still enslaved mentally on so many issues economics, politics, to even religion. In the early 90s, East Timor was an enclave under Indonesias administration. Indonesia is the most populous Muslim nation, while East Timor had an overwhelming Christian majority. Indonesia was oppressing the Timoris. Indonesia was an occupying power. They therefore had to rise to resist the occupation. The resistance movement was led by Xanana Gusmao, who later became the President of an independent East Timor. The two sides fought a bitter war. In the end, the UN stepped in and East Timor was declared an independent nation, after a referendum. Xanana Gusmao was never called a terrorist. John Garang of the Southern Sudan led a rebellion against the oppressive Khartoum government in the north. They too had to fight a very bitter war for decades. In the end, the UN stepped in and South Sudan was declared independent, after a referendum. John Garang was never called a terrorist. Our own dear Nelson Mandela did the same for South Africa. He led a bloody insurgency against the apartheid regime of South Africa. He was even trained in Russia in the use of explosives. In the end, he secured freedom for black South Africans. He was never called a terrorist. Only South Africa and Britain (under Margaret Thatcher) called him a terrorist. Let us visit Israel and the Palestinians. Israel has occupied Gaza and the West Bank since 1967.They have been controlling the lives of Palestinians through dehumanizing and oppressive means. In 1987, Hamas was created to liberate the Palestinians from the apartheid regime of the Jews. Hamas is now called a terrorist organization. The Islamic State, (IS),is undoubtedly a brutal terrorist organization. And so is Israel. When the IS beheaded an American journalist, the whole world responded. But when Israel massacred thousands in Gaza, the work kept a shameful silence. Yet both Israel and IS are terrorist entities that operate in total disregard to international law. In early July, 2014, three Israeli teenagers were captured by Palestinian militants in the occupied West Bank. In an attempt to find the remains of the teenagers, hundreds of young Palestinians were arrested. Six were killed in the process. The world remained silent. They later accused Hamas of the abduction and murder of the teenagers(that was true). They then attacked Gaza. They bombarded Gaza from the land, sea and air for 50 days. The attack was so vicious that at the end of the conflict, more than 2000 were killed, among them about 500 children, with more than 11,000 injured. About 500,000 were made homeless. About 450 factories were destroyed. In then, Hamas still exist. The tunnels are still there and the rockets were still being fired till the last second of the conflict. In frustration, Israel announced the confiscation of 1000 acres of land in the West Bank just two days ago. Jews have always thrived on the sweat and blood of others. They believe they are the children of God, and therefore all other races should be subservient to them. They make money from whatever means. It does not matter if they steal from you or tricked you. Either way, it belongs to them. That is why the Jews are a cursed race. They will never find peace nor the security they so desire. Sultan Salahudden of the Ottoman empire killed them in thousands in the 12th century. Hitler killed six million of them in Europe between 1939 and 1945. Seeing what they do to other humans now makes me wonder if Hitler was not right. The irony of it all, is that my Christian friends believe I blaspheme when I say the Jews are cursed. That is because they still believe the Jews are children of God. They believe if I die a Muslim without accepting Jesus(AS) as my lord and savior, I am hell-bound. I also believe anybody who dies without accepting the call of Islam is hell-bound. The Jews cannot be children of God. Jesus(AS) had given the basic requirement of becoming a child of God. He said: For as many as are led by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God. They Jews are obviously not being led by the spirit. They dont accept Jesus(AS) as their lord and savior. They dont believe in the immaculate conception, as such they dont believe in the miraculous birth of Jesus(AS). And so when I asked my Christian friends if the Jews will go to heaven or hell, they were hesitant and not sure of the answer. Mental slavery. My friends know that I believe in the immaculate conception, the miraculous birth of Jesus(AS), but I cannot accept him as my savior. Despite all that, I will go to hell. I dont blame them. Every sincere Christian believes so. What I cant comprehend is how the Jew would not go to hell for disbelieving in Jesus(AS). Mental slavery.
