Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) PRESS RELEASE EBOLA OUTBREAK UPDATES---October 6, 2014 ➢ DISCHARGED CASES • Total Survived and Released Patients = 478 ➢ NEW CASES • New Confirmed cases = 48, as follows: Kailahun = 1, Kenema = 0, Kono = 2 Bombali = 0, Kambia = 0, Koinadugu = 0, Port Loko =6, Tonkolili = 14 Bo = 1, Bonthe = 0, Moyamba = 2, Pujehun = 2 Western Area Urban = 10, Western Area Rural = 10 ➢ CUMULATIVE CASES • Cumulative confirmed cases = 2,464 as follows: Kailahun = 532, Kenema = 431, Kono =25 Bombali =294, Kambia =21, Koinadugu =0, Port Loko =346, Tonkolili = 100 Bo = 112, Bonthe = 1, Moyamba = 68, Pujehun = 24 Western Urban = 300, Western Rural = 210 ➢ CUMULATIVE DEATHS • Total cumulative confirmed death is 699 • Probable cases = 37 • Probable deaths = 142 • Suspected cases = 288 • Suspected deaths = 35 IMPORTANT NOTE!
